Ultimately, we suspect many will opt for option (b) to create a new Google account and the start of that child's online independence. That's the option we'd recommend, especially as Google offers tools to manage child accounts. The easiest way to get started is to setup that account in a web browser and setup a family group on families.google.com to link everyone together.
If the device's Google Play store is older than the required version, it must be updated to ensure that managed Google play account can be created in the work profile. Play store should be updated automatically in the background, as long as the user has signed in to Google Play.
No. Because Google allows younger users to create an email account; they do not require a phone number. Also, Google lets you use an alternate email for verification purposes as long as you added it. Note: The methods below were tested in Nov. of 2022, and we were able to create Gmail accounts without phone numbers on Android 11 and iPhone/iOS 15.1 devices. Therefore, it is possible!
There are multiple ways you can create a Gmail account without verification, from using Android or iOS to any browser on a PC or laptop. One of the easiest ways to do this is through the Gmail app because no matter how you sign up, you can opt-out of giving a phone number for verification.
No. Because Google allows younger users to create an email account; they do not require a phone number. Also, Google lets you use an alternate email for verification purposes as long as you added it. You need to create a secondary email address if you want those verification codes sent to you and to protect your account, which you can do during the setup process or from the Settings menu once your account is created.
Google is trying to hide the option to create an account without using another email or phone number, by auto populating the country calling code in the phone number field(which then counts as a incomplete phone number and prevents you from proceeding).
Open the Contacts app and tap on Groups in the top-left corner. Uncheck all other accounts except the one where you want to save a contact. Go back to the main screen of the Contacts app and tap on the + (plus) icon to create a new contact. It will be saved in the selected account instead of the default account. 2b1af7f3a8
