The character of Madhav is not developed enough for the audience to get to know him. The actor who plays him is good but he is not given enough screen time to make us care about his character, in fact you cannot get to know him at all. The story has been driven by Riya so you can get to know her very well. This is a very complex movie and the audience will find it difficult to understand Riya's point of view. However he has altered the story to some extent and quite a lot of content has been removed and replaced with an extended version. In short, the narrative in this chapter is that Riya is a school girl who never had a boyfriend before. When she meets Madhav she is a virgin and ends up getting pregnant. She runs away from home (as she has no family left) and then becomes a working woman while attending a college. She is now engaged, but does not want to marry. She has only one condition. She wants to be Madhav's girlfriend and to live with him but not to marry him. Madhav is not sure if he wants to compromise. Riya is also working and is trying to catch up with her college commitments. She is torn between the two worlds, and is trying to choose what she wants.
